UCARE (Urology Cancer Research and Education) has two aims - to fund world class research into cancers of the kidney, bladder, prostate and testes and to educate the public to be aware of the signs and symptoms of urological cancers. Cancers of the kidney, bladder, prostate and testes are frequently diagnosed – (20% of all new cancers diagnosed each year are urology related) – but they have a low public profile, resulting in two adverse consequences: a lack of research funding and late diagnoses, as symptoms are unrecognised, not taken seriously or are unreported because of embarrassment or fear.UCARE has made great progress since it started in 2007, raising £600,000 for research, equipment and awareness projects, but we need help to take us to the next level. This year we have some fantastic new projects being developed that will hopefully raise our profile and our donations, but we desperately need advice with marketing and branding. We want UCARE to have the same incredible effect on urological cancers as Breast Cancer Awareness campaigns have with breast cancer. Would you be able to help us please in the battle against cancer?
