The Conversation

The Conversation exists to take the knowledge, research and expertise of academics to a wider audience. This helps improve the public's understanding of complex topics and provides an evidence-based challenge to fake news and misinformation. All of our stories are written by the academics themselves to ensure their work isn't misrepresented, but commissioned and edited by professional journalists to make sure they are engaging and accessible. The Conversation is a charity, partly funded by reader donations.

Help us fact check the election

Nov 26, 2019

The Conversation has academic experts covering the UK General Election, fact-checking and analysing speeches, policy announcements and manifestos. We'll explain what it means for the future of the UK and look in depth at topics like the parties' approach to climate change. We need help raising the profile our stories, our editors and the academics who write for us. This might be through helping us up our social media game, or encouraging other news outlets to make use of our stories.
