Haemochromatosis UK

Early diagnosis saves lives. We work to support anyone affected by genetic haemochromatosis, the UK's most common undiagnosed inheritable genetic condition. Untreated, the condition can lead to irreparable organ damage, including cancer, heart disease, diabetes and severe joint pain. Yet, treatment is simple, effective and cheap. Help us, as we help others.

Illustrator - simple line illustrations for (award winning) nursing guidelines

Jan 26, 2020

Are you handy with Illustrator? A deft hand at line art/drawings of people, arms, medical-y procedures? We need your help! Our award-winning nursing project has brought together patients and professionals to design best practice guidelines for venesection. (This is the posh name for blood donation.) We're seeking an illustrator to draw up to 7 line images in Illustrator (or similar tool) to illustrate the 7 steps in safely drawing blood from a person's arm. Something like an Ikea-assembly type illustration. Simple, eh? We'd love your help before mid January 2020 to pull this together. We will provide : a. some rough photos of the intended steps b. lots of encouragement, tea, biscuits and charity swag / tee shirts etc This project can be done anywhere, but needs to be completed before mid January 2020. If you are London or Peterborough based, so much the better for meeting to discuss. Or - if further afield - video conference etc. We've already won two awards for this work (see https://www.patientsafetylearning.org/blog/guys-st-thomas-nhs-foundation-trust-neil-mc-clements-and-haemochromatosis-uk and https://www.patients-association.org.uk/news/big-ideas-for-better-health-awards)
