Capitals Coalition

The Capitals Coalition unites the Natural Capital Coalition and the Social & Human Capital Coalition to transform the way decisions are made by including the value provided by nature, people & society. We use a capitals approach to enable business, finance and governments to identify and measure the value of their dependencies and impacts on natural, social, human and produced capital. This allows them to develop a systemic understanding of the benefit they receive from nature, people and society to inform their decision making. Our ambition is that by 2030 the majority of business, finance and government will include all capitals in their decision making, and that this will deliver a fairer, just and more sustainable world.

Video editing for an online forum

Sep 01, 2020

The African Forum on Green Economy, part of the Economics for Nature programme and funded by the MAVA Foundation, launched in 2020 initially planned as a 3-day in-person event in Kampala, Uganda. Given the circumstances, this in-person event quickly transformed into an online forum. We hosted 6 webinars across the topics of Water, Agriculture, Infrastructure, Finance, Data, and Enabling Change, bringing together leading experts to explore how African countries are pioneering the transition to greener, fairer economies. The Forum hosted 800+ participants with representation from 25 African countries. Now the Forum has come to a close, we want to create a short summary video featuring clips from the webinar recordings and highlighting the huge interest in developing a green economy across Africa.
