Help abused bears, Buu and Tiopa
Oct 06, 2022
Wild Ireland is a wild animal sanctuary in the Republic of Ireland. Wild Ireland has rescued brown bears. On the latest mission, Wild Ireland's team hope to rescue two more brown bears from Dagestan in Russia. The two bears, named Buu and Tiopa are living in a dog and cat sanctuary in Dagestan. The sanctuary owners are doing their best to look after the bears but they simply do not have the finances or the resources to do this properly for the safety of the bears or their caregivers. They have reached out to Wild Ireland asking for help. Buu and Tiopa, are two adult male Bears that have now outgrown the confines of the sanctuary’s dog kennels. The bears need shelter, from the cold of winter and the heat of summer. Tiopa lives out in the open. The sanctuary has nowhere else to keep him. They have built a small cage to keep him safe but it is not big enough and he does not have any shelter. Wild Ireland is trying to raise money to build a habitat to house the two bears at Wild Ireland. The costs will be excessive, somewhere in the range of €250,000 to build a quarantine facility and a habitat where they can be rehabilitated back to the forest at Wild Ireland. A TV series has been commissioned around this rescue. Time is against us as winter approaches. these two bears may not survive the winter. We need to be able to market this fundraiser to a wider audience in order to raise these vital funds. Wild Ireland will shortly be registered as a charity. A tv series already aired in 2020 on national irish TV about our previous bear rescue. for more information, please visit our website www.wildireland.org
