Every day until Christmas we are revealing a cause that you can help with your marketing talent.
 
Day Twenty-five - Ageing Without Children
How would your parents cope without you? 
 
The Cause
One in five people over 50 are not parents, while others enter later life without children because of death, estrangement or distance. By 2030 an estimated 2 million people over the age of 65 will be without adult children. Ageing Without Children works to provide practical support for this growing group of people. They develop local groups for building networks of people ageing without children. And they advocate for a fairer representation of people ageing without children in government policy, practice and planning.
 
The marketing help needed
Ageing Without Children would like help with marketing their June conference to policy makers, potential partner organisations and people ageing with children.

Day Twenty-four - CROSO
The transformative power of education​
 
The cause
CROSO provides post-secondary scholarships to former street children in Uganda. In addition to providing financial support to cover tuition, room ​and​ board, internships and supplies, CROSO also pairs each scholar with a mentor. And a​s a result CROSO graduates are well prepared to become leaders in their communities.
 
The marketing help needed
CROSO has great photos and video footage of their scholars and they would love to have help with turning these into short videos about their work.  
 
Day Twenty-three - The Friendly Trust
Secure independence for Cardiff's most vulnerable
 
The cause
The Friendly Trust helps elderly, vulnerable and disabled adults​ with achieving financial independence and security. Their programmes are user-led and are always tailored to suit individual circumstances.​
 
The marketing help needed
​The Friendly Trust is looking for ​an experienced marketer in the Cardiff area to join their board of trustees or if you are unable to make a long-term commitment they would appreciate support with developing their marketing strategy. 
 
Day Twenty-two - TogetherintheUK
Creating a Great British welcome
 
The cause
TogetherintheUK help​s​ people who have come to the UK​ to​ ​understand and feel included in British culture. They​ share​ insights from people who have made a similar journey​, provide practical information about living in the UK and host events for migrants​.

Day Twenty-one - Investing for Good
Mobilising capital for social good
 
The cause
​Investing for Good works to grow the social investment market and finds innovative solutions to address social organisations’ financing needs. They pioneered the concept of social bonds and played an instrumental role in the creation of the Arts Impact Fund.
 
The marketing help needed
Investing for Good needs marketing and communications support to help them get their key messaging right so that they continue to inspire like-minded investors who want to use money to change the world for good.
 
Day Twenty - Hands Around the World
Volunteering to make a difference 
 
The cause
Hands Around the World helps vulnerable children and young people in a number of locally managed centres in Africa and India, and encourages enthusiastic and well prepared volunteers to offer practical help,skill-sharing, support and friendship.The centres they support ensure​ 2,500 vulnerable children in 7 countrie​s​ are clothed and fed, have a home and are receiving an education.

Day Nineteen - Hospice Biographers
Helping stories live on
 
The cause
Hospice Biographers offers terminally ill patients the chance to have their life stories professionally recorded for their own sense of achievement and so their families will be able to hear their voices and memories for generations to come. They've trained interviewers at over 200 hospices so they can record patients' life stories across the UK.
 
The marketing help needed
Hospice Biographers is a charity with a unique service that is growing quickly. They are looking for a professional fundraiser to support their growth by helping their team with writing funding bid proposals.
 
Day Eighteen - Leukaemia UK
Make a difference for families affected by blood cancer
 
The cause
Leukaemia UK supports people affected by blood cancer and their families by providing physical, psychological and financial help. And for 40 years they have been working to fund innovative and effective research into finding a cure and better treatments for leukaemia, lymphoma, myeloma and other blood disorders.

Day Seventeen - Resolve International
​Reduce child poverty in Nepal
 
The cause
​Resolve International improves the health of families in remote Himalayan villages in Nepal by providing hygiene training, clean water and toilets. And their education programme for primary schools improves literacy and learning for the villages' children.

Resolve International is looking for filmmakers who can work with their existing stock of videos and photos to create short promotional videos about their work to improve primary education and sanitation in Nepal.​

Subcontracting made simpler and fairer
 
The cause
Subtap is an award-winning social enterprise offering a construction employment network that enables​ tradespeople and employers to find each other​, work together​ and ​share ​review​s​ through a fair, transparent and supportive​ platform.​

​Subtap is looking for help with their overall marketing strategy, their messaging and communications and an updated look for their website.​
 
Day Fifteen - Media Legal Defence Initiative
Legal defence for free speech
 
The cause
Media Legal Defence Initiative provides legal defence to independent media, journalists and bloggers around the world who are under threat for their reporting. They administer an emergency defence fund to pay legal fees and they also provide legal expertise to the lawyer(s) defending a case. And in countries where the threat of legal action is high and constant, MLDI supports national organisations that provide legal defence services to journalists. Their work helps to ensure citizens are well informed and can hold their governments accountable.

Copywriters and communications professionals are needed to help MLDI with the implementation of their communications strategy.
 
Day Fourteen - HENRY
A healthy start for children in Bradford

The cause
HENRY is an award-winning charity that provides babies and young children with a healthy start in life by helping the whole family make positive changes to their lifestyle. They build healthier communities through behaviour change support with early-age learning, nutrition, parenting and well-being.

HENRY's Better Start Bradford office is looking for help with their social media marketing strategy and implementation to recruit more local parents to their programme. Marketers are welcome to provide help remotely.
 
Day Thirteen - That Reading Thing
Literacy for teens & adults

The cause
That Reading Thing provides age-appropriate literacy interventions for young people and adults who struggle with reading and spelling​. They work both inside and outside the education system to​ ​help build ​skills, knowledge and confidence in hours rather than years.

Day Twelve - Maths with Parents
Revolutionize maths learning
 
The cause
​Maths with Parents is an award-winning new​ online tool that helps​ parents and children learn to love maths together. ​They work with primary schools to create tailored packages of support for the parents in each class.​​ Their programmes make sure that every parent and child feels that they are good at and enjoy learning maths.

Day Eleven - FuturePlanet
Inspire a more sustainable planet
 
The cause
FuturePlanet exists to accelerate the​ transition to a more sustainable, inclusive future​. They empower people to take action by​ making it simple, fun and rewarding to support the causes that matter and grow the brands they love and trust. They​ are currently ​running​ a campaign to reduce the​ plastic​ and packaging ​that ends up in our​​ oceans. And next year ​they have plans for​ campaigns around​ ​fashion, ​homes, ​energy, ​transport, and ​food.

Day Ten - Creative Minds

The cause
Creative Minds is a community of passionate artists who deliver therapeutic and empowering art sessions to care homes, learning disability services and other venues across the country. ​Their​ artists work primarily with older adults and people with learning disabilities to boost self-confidence and esteem, increase cognitive stimulation, improve dexterity and motor skills and allow the participants to socialise with their peers.

Creative Minds is looking for a branding expert and a graphic designer to help them develop their brand strategy and ​to create a partnerships brochure.
 
Day Nine - Computer Aid International
Transform lives through ICT
 
The cause
Computer Aid International transforms lives using ICT in developing countries and in the UK. They take unwanted computers, tablets and mobiles and give them a second lease of life and in doing so have helped some 15 million people to access technology and change their futures. By providing access to education and 21st century skills, Computer Aid is helping people out of poverty and improving their life expectancy.

Day Eight - MeeTwo Education
Help teens overcome anxiety
 
The cause
MeeTwo Education is a new mental health app for young teens. It gives them a safe space in which to be open about their mental health concerns, where they can speak to people about their problems and if needed get recommendations for where to go for support. The app is moderated by experts and provides early support to prevent more serious mental health problems from developing.

MeeTwo would like marketing support for an innovative Kickstarter campaign that they have in development that will enable them to engage with more young people dealing with anxiety and mental health concerns. 
 
Day Seven - London Basketball Association
Building successful communities through basketball
 
The cause
London Basketball Association works to make community basketball in London accessible and affordable for all. They create positive social change by improving areas such as health and wellbeing, substance misuse and employment, through the powerful medium of sport.
 
The marketing help needed
LBA is in need of communications and PR support to help them to engage new audiences in their community sport and employment programmes. 
 
Day Six - Innercycle
Improve mental health through cycling
 
The cause
Innercycle brings purpose, meaning and direction to people with mental health issues through cycling. They combine a personalised cycling plan with access to accredited therapists and practical help with career choices to help people live happier lives.
 
The marketing help needed
Help Innercycle to improve their e-learning materials with your graphic design and communications skills.
 
Day Five - London Village Network
Professionals inspiring London's youth
 
The cause
London Village Network brings together professionals in London and young people in need positive role models. LVN hosts events through local youth clubs, where professionals can work with young people and help them to understand the careers and opportunities that are available to them. 
 
The marketing help needed
If you are a PR expert or a journalist please contribute one hour of their time this Thursday or on a Thursday in the New Year to pass on your top tips to help young people to improve their interview techniques.
 
Day Four - Incredible Brilliant Youth
Bring greater self confidence to young people
 
The cause
Incredible Brilliant Youth supports young people who have low self confidence and who may be recovering from some kind of trauma. Their founder Teresa got started by receiving a Prince's Trust enterprise award and now Incredible Brilliant Youth partners with the Prince's Trust to deliver services to young people.
 
The marketing help needed
Help Incredible Brilliant Youth to develop social media campaign ideas to engage more young people in using their services.
 
Day Three - The Transforming Autism Project
Unlock autistic children's true potential
 
The cause
The Transforming Autism Project ​equips and empowers parents and carers to unlock autistic children’s true potential through the earliest possible specialist intervention and the practical knowledge and resources that enable them to put in place the most optimal environment and relationships for their child’s needs.
 
The marketing help needed
Support the Transforming Autism Project in developing a campaign to inform parents of the importance of early intervention in supporting autistic children and to signpost them to the tools needed to support early intervention.
 
Day Two - GCP Foundation
Alleviate poverty through sustainable energy
 
The cause
The ​GCP Foundation helps alleviate energy poverty and provide affordable and sustainable solar light and electricity to those 600 million people living without electricity in Africa. Providing access to efficient and safe lighting is invaluable not only in the terms of safety but also in allowing work and education to continue after dark.

Their programmes are amazing, but very wide reaching and as a result their marketing is unclear. They need help with finding the right ways of telling their story that are cohesive and as impressive as their work truly is. 
 
Day One - Bliss
Help save premature and sick babies
 
The cause
Bliss supports parents and neonatal professionals to help make sure that every baby born premature or sick receives the best possible care.
 
The marketing help needed
They are looking for help with improving their overall marketing and communications strategy with the aim of reaching more parents with premature or sick babies that need their help and reaching more donors that would like to support their work.
