Maverick Digital has produced a pro bono film that has helped Foodcycle gain £120,000 of funding!

Foodcycle is an innovative young charity that combines volunteers, surplus food and spare kitchen spaces to create nutritious meals for people at risk from food poverty and social isolation.

The funding will help Foodcycle fulfill its ambitious goals of reducing food waste, tackling food poverty, reducing social isolation, and empowering volunteers to create positive change in their communities.

Foodcycle had approached Sevil Ozer Crespo, Director of Social Media for Maverick Digital through Pimp My Cause asking if they would create a video to help them with a grant application (to the Cabinet Office /NESTA Innovation in Giving programme).

Maverick wanted to help them achieve their funding goals, but they also wanted the video to have a longer shelf life, so they created a second version of the video to use for general promotion.

Helen Thirlway, Head of Development at Foodcycle said, "we couldn't be happier with the video! We have plans to share the video on our new website, which Maverick is also in the process of developing. And we'll use it to share our story on social media and as an introduction to Foodcycle at events."

Maverick is continuing to work with Foodcyle as well as further supporting another cause, Africa on the Ball with a new website and social media fundraising campaign.

They are true Pimp My Cause heroes!
