When a top agency joins Pimp My Cause, we know exciting things are about to happen. While even a small piece of work created by a great agency can have a truly transformational impact on a cause the work done by digital agency Maverick has not been small. They've built a completely new website and created a digital fundraising campaign for Africa on the Ball.

Maverick Digital signed up to Pimp My Cause just over a year ago and quickly connected with both Africa on the Ball and Foodcycle and began the process of exploring their digital needs and how the agency's team could support the growth of each cause.

Because Africa on the Ball is run by a small team of volunteers they need their website to work hard for them if they want to grow the charity and reach new supporters.

To help fulfill Africa on the Ball's goal of transforming communities through the power of football the Maverick team, led by Sevil Ozer Crespo, completely redesigned and developed a new website to showcase their work, their team and the potential of their organization to change more lives and communities with their supporters' help.

Africa on the Ball is a small charity that was started by Andrew Jenkin and Elena Sarra in 2011. Following several trips to Lusaka through UKSport’s IDEAL project, Andrew was inspired to develop a model which could help communities through football and the power it holds within African society and culture. That inspiration led them to create Africa on the Ball which currently works in Lusaka, Zambia sponsoring an under 18's football team (Kalingalinga on the Ball), supporting the players' education and helping to develop the community as a whole through volunteering, litter collection and HIV prevention training.

Maverick was inspired by Andrew and Elena's ambition for Africa on the Ball and the impact their work is having on the lives of everyone in the Kalingalinga community, so they decided to help them create a crowd funding campaign to raise funds to buy a team bus for the Kalingalinga on the Ball team to travel to away matches. The bus will also be used as a sustainable income source for the community as a whole.

Maverick Digital helped Africa on the Ball plan their crowd funding campaign, giving them the confidence to move forward with their goals. Maverick also created a short animated video to help inspire donations to the buy-a-bus campaign.

If you feel inspired by the work of Africa on the Ball please take a minute to share their campaign film or a link to their campaign on social media.

Andrew Jenkin, Co-founder of Africa on the Ball said, "these projects have been massively important to the development of Africa on the Ball. The work that has been done by Sevil (and Maverick), would have cost a small fortune. They have saved us a huge amount of money which mean our funds can be spent in Africa on the cause. Pimp My Cause has been absolutely crucial to our sustainable development as an organisation, which in turn will help us extend our reach in Africa."
