New Maverick Video Shares Meals that Matter News Post Image

FoodCycle’s summer fundraising campaign called Meals that Matter, runs from August 22nd until September 5th. They are asking supporters to: ‘Welcome your family and friends into your home this summer and serve them a dinner with a difference to raise vital funds for FoodCycle.

Last year we featured the Meals that Matter toolkit, which was created by the integrated design and communications agency, Maverick. The Toolkit is a 20-page guide for hosting a fundraising dinner, which includes party games, recipe suggestions and fun coasters.

As part of their ongoing support of FoodCycle, Maverick has now produced a short video documenting a ‘Meal that Matters’ cooked by Kim Jones from the FoodCycle team. The video will help FoodCycle promote the Meals that Matter fundraising activity and reach new supporters.

Anyone interested in participating in the Meals that Matter campaign, can sign up to receive a free toolkit on the FoodCyle website. And you can also see the leader board of who has raised the most money from their Meal that Matters.

Steven Hawkes, Communications and Fundraising Manager at FoodCycle said, “By hosting a Meals that Matter event, you’ll be helping FoodCycle to serve even more nutritious meals for people at risk of food poverty and social isolation. FoodCycle is a small and growing charity where your donations really do make a difference. Our projects have a real impact locally, providing the tangible benefit of a three-course meal, served with dignity in a warm and welcoming environment.”

Maverick are continuing to support FoodCycle’s work to make a meaningful contribution to the fight against food poverty and we will continue to bring you the news as it unfolds.
