Paul Skinner, founder of Pimp My Cause and the Agency of the Future, has been recognised for the second time as the Chartered Institute of Marketing’s Consultant of the Year.

Diane Earles, Network Manager for CIM, said “Congratulations to Paul, who is a very worthy winner.”  Davide de Maestri, Chair of CIM North West, who judged the category sponsored by Ashmore Consulting, said “Paul has many WOW Factors – but the one which catches the eye and heart is that, “over £4m of pro bono marketing has now been contributed through Pimp My Cause, which has led to over £18m of social value created for the beneficiaries of the causes involved.”

He said, “I’m thrilled to have won this award again. I’m a great believer in the power of marketing and most of my work is about showing how it can be used to solve broader business and social problems than marketers are usually asked to address.

This win will be a great boost to my own work as a marketer running the Agency of the Future and to my work enabling other marketers across the profession to enhance their own capabilities by supporting charities and social enterprises with their marketing talent through my social enterprise Pimp My Case.

Having my work recognised by the Chartered Institute of Marketing means a lot to me personally as well, because the CIM played a crucial role in developing my interest in marketing in the first place.”
