Pro Bono Marketing Provides Education for Township Children News Post Image

Matt Crowcombe, co-founder of SOS Africa shares with us the benefits of gaining pro bono marketing support from Pimp My Cause members Barbara Coleman and Emma Conway. Their Digital marketing and PR support has helped them to raise substantially more support and funding to provide education to more underprivileged African township children.

In December 2011 SOS Africa created their first video appeal and sought help through Pimp My Cause to promote their video. Pimp My Cause matched them with Emma Conway. And within a few days Emma had drawn up a comprehensive plan of action, including using social media sites, social book marking, YouTube, sending newsletters, press releases and tailoring our website. Emma invested a substantial amount of time and energy into helping to promote the video and thanks to her the launch of the video was a great success and gained a great deal of coverage and consequently a significant increase in funding and donations for SOS Africa.

This is the second round of help for SOS Africa and in the post A Digital Revamp for SOS Africa from November 2011, you can read about how Barbara helped transform the SOS Africa website in order to bring more support through their web presence.
