Digital marketing support through Pimp My Cause has helped to drive 64,000 visitors to a new charity website.

When Sky Badger signed up for Pimp My Cause I was immediately intrigued by the name and their superhero logo. I knew that it had to be a fun organization. And after learning more about them I'm even more impressed by their positive, take charge attitude. They have built a website that makes the lives of disabled and life-limited children easier and more enjoyable. It brings all of the resources needed by their parents together into a reassuring and accessible site. And behind the site are many volunteers researching and answering the questions of their users.

Naomi Marek, Chief Executive of Sky Badger summed it up nicely by saying, "we believe that family life should be full of fun and adventure – this is especially important when your child has a disability or life threatening illness. For the parents of disabled children, Sky Badger is a one-stop-shop: the easiest place to find out about all of the help that’s available in the UK."

And they have plans to expand their site to include micro offerings like small local classes. This new project will require a lot of time and effort to research the available options and keep the site updated. They are starting with the East of England and expanding over time. They will be training young people with learning difficulties to take on the copy writing, researching and data entry for the new project.

Like many of our causes Sky Badger has been given a google adwords grant to help bring traffic to their website. But also like many of our causes they initially found it difficult to set up and manage their adwords account. And as their funds are very limited and they had no marketing budget to help families with disabled children find them, it was particularly important for them to use their grant efficiently.

Naomi found Pimp My Cause through her own google searching and posted an appeal for support with their adwords campaign. Digital Account Manager Dunstan Tough responded to Naomi's help wanted ad, offering his support. Dunstan took the time to understand their organization and it's objectives and then got to work setting up their campaign. He was able to spend his free time working on their adwords account, staying in close touch with Naomi by phone as the project developed.

Naomi and Sky Badger are very happy with Dunstan's support. Their web traffic has increased and their adwords campaign has been very effective. The 64,000 visitors they have already attracted to their site is testimony to the ingenious way they are fulfilling a substantial need, to the power of online marketing and to really effective collaboration.

They are run off their feet with work and have many great case studies to share. So now their most pressing marketing need is getting help with extracting those stories and making them heard. If you would like to help Sky Badger with their communications strategy please get in touch.
