Action Against Cancer

Action Against Cancer funds the purchase of new equipment and underwrites the salaries of world leading researchers who are developing new treatments to improve detection and survival rates for cancer sufferers. We work at Imperial College, Hammersmith Hospital and Manchester Royal Infirmary.

Our current focus is on the development of improved tests to diagnose, and new drugs to treat breast cancer, lung cancer, pancreatic cancer and chronic lymphocytic leukaemia.

Our incredible Chairwoman Hilary Craft, who has been diagnosed with her third unrelated type of cancer, has been widely recognised for her incredible fundraising efforts. She has been nominated for the Daily Mail Inspirational Women of the Year Award. You can read more about her story in her feature in the Daily Mail.

Action against cancer challenges businesses and individuals to create their own unique fundraisers.

Help from Pimp My Cause

I visited Pimp My Cause a few months ago after a volunteer fundraiser had offered to run their own fundraising campaign. The campaign required a separate logo and website. I contacted Beki Reilly after viewing her impressive portfolio.

My experience with Pimp My Cause and Beki could not have been any better. Beki was an absolute pleasure to deal with, designing our logo and website and managing to fit in work for the campaign despite clearly being busy with other commitments.

Her work was first rate and it has had an excellent response from our supporters. You can view Beki's design and read about Super SAMaritans' campaign to raise funds to find a cure for breast cancer at onethousandwomen.co.uk.

Pimp My Cause is a fantastic resource for charities. I am incredibly grateful both to Pimp My Cause and to the professionals who have signed up to this great initiative and so generously offered their time and considerable skills for free.

Please visit our website www.aacancer.org to read about the lifesaving work that we support and how you can take action against cancer.
