Martha Lane Fox – Race Online 2012 June 2010 – present, PR executive Race Online 2012 is a Government funded cross-sector partnership organisation led by UK Digital Champion, Martha Lane Fox which aims to encourage the 8.4 million offline adults in the UK to be online by the end of the London Olympic year. Responsibilities include:  Public relations: Currently working as part of a busy proactive and reactive media relations press office to drive positive, focussed editorial across key titles including online, national/ regional print and broadcast helping to generate numerous amounts of coverage across two major national campaigns including ‘Give an hour’ (portfolio available on request) Driving wide-spread awareness of the B2B partnership campaign across the broad media spectrum working with cross sector organisations including TalkTalk, Google, Mecca, Microsoft, Three, BT, O2, Macmillan, Scouts through to the Prime Minister’s office Writing press releases, generating media contact lists and distributing press releases to target media Managing media partnerships with the BBC; ITV; Trinity Mirror; IPC Magazines; Hearst Media; Bauer Media; and major regional print titles generating a sound contact database spanning various national media outlets Coordinating journalists, photographers and TV crews for interviews, during events and press launches Collating, archiving and evaluating all media activity - monitoring the media, including newspapers, magazines, journals, broadcasts, newswires and blogs Event management: Leading on all monthly internal strategic partner meetings, managed external networking events for over 250 representatives from partner organizations on a tight budget and logistical management for a Manifesto launch at No.10 Downing Street Team management: Executive assistant to Managing Director and Director for Government for Race Online 2012.
