Over 4 million people are affected by food poverty in the UK yet millions of tonnes of food are thrown away each year. At FoodCycle we think this is ridiculous - so we're doing something about it. We run 16 volunteer-powered community projects nationwide, where every week, our volunteers collect and cook surplus food that would otherwise go to waste, turning these ingredients into a tasty three-course meal for people in the community to enjoy.
We're looking to reach more volunteers, guests and funders in the UK by increasing our press outreach. As a small team with limited resources, we would like some help with pitching some stories to the media.
