Additional Information

POW has been supporting individuals from Nottingham’s prostitute community since 1990. Our clients are vulnerable and have complex support needs relating to issues surrounding prostitution, including class A drug and alcohol abuse, homelessness and mental health issues. POW provides a range of support and advice services, including sexual health and drug clinics, a drop-in centre with access to basic provisions such as food, clothing and washing facilities, and referrals to re-engage clients with mainstream services. We also provide an assertive outreach service to make contact with particularly vulnerable and hard-to-reach clients at crack houses, saunas, working flats, and on the street. During these visits outreach workers issue self-defense tips, condoms, and rape alarms, facilitate satellite sexual health clinics at saunas, disseminate information to clients about known sexual offenders (as part of the nationally-recognised ‘Dodgy Punter’ scheme piloted by POW), and provide support to women who have been physically or sexually assaulted while working. The financial instability in the voluntary sector has resulted in the ending of various funding streams and consequently POW has been drawing from its reserves account to ensure the core running costs of the project are met. In order to ensure that our funding continues to go towards our vital frontline services, we are trying to reduce costs elsewhere. We are currently producing our annual report for mid-March and are seeking graphic design/marketing assistance. We are also seeking help with the re-design of our website. Help a new charity develop its social media strategy

Description

Dear Pimp My Cause Pros,My name is Marijn and I am the director of a young charity called Resolution:Possible. One of our main aims is to get people engaged with global affairs and to understand their impact on them. In order to do so, we want to have active engagement from those who visit our website and social media outlets. We would love for you to have a look at our online presence and get your input on where you think we can improve. This way we can make a solid strategy to achieve our goal of increased engagenemt. Currently we do not have any funding or income, so all the work that is being done is done by volunteers, including myself. It is for this reason that I turn to Pimp my Cause to see if there is someone who would like to give us some of their time. For more information, please get in touch!I look forward to hearing from you.Warm regards,Marijn van de Geer
