Mission
Aberdeen Cyrenians empower and support vulnerable people to live fulfilling and resilient lives.
Supporting people in crisis, affected by homelessness, poverty, abuse, addiction, mental ill-health & complex needs; Aberdeen Cyrenians helps people in the North-East of Scotland to achieve their goals by working alongside them, reducing and overcome barriers that they face and empowering them to build skills and resilience.
Starting life as a soup kitchen organised by Aberdeen University students, for over 52 years we have been at the heart of Aberdeen supporting highly vulnerable people in the north-east.
Through our community projects and residential services in Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire, we provide homelessness and crisis prevention and intervention; emotional and practical support including basic essentials such as food, toiletries and clothing; advocacy, support and information to secure temporary and permanent homes; poverty support including benefits advice, digital access and skills training; as well as isolation reduction through social support.
