Personal Introduction

After ten years working in Africa, the Middle East and the Levant I've moved back to the UK with a firm interest in international development. My professional background is in publishing and for consultancy houses, but I've also provided marketing support to a number of small NGOs.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate and post graduate degrees. Thirteen years experience in senior marketing and research posts

• primarily in Africa and the Middle East. Good knowledge of Pakistan and Asia.

Experience

My professional skills include some knowledge of graphic design, but better experience of running campaigns to raise profile and advertising. My biggest strength is with words, and I've designed and drafted content for a number of websites. As well as creating website content, I also really enjoy establishing information architecture. Outside of direct marketing I have drafted fundraising applications, devised donor contact programs and built databases for that purpose. The other thing I can do is market research - I've run large scale cross border research programs and am used to providing qualitative and quantitative techniques, but also to interpreting market research as part of strategy recommendations. Particularly interested in working with websites which use case studies, social media and commercial content as I would like to widen my experience in these areas.
