Our Community Interest Statement outlines that we benefit the community by:“Creating local employment opportunities for people seeking their first role in the Green Economy and support community members seeking to take action on domestic household emissions. SHS will enable them to systematically carry out energy-efficiency and renewable energy surveys in local communities. This information will allow the efficient deployment of measures that will reduce household energy bills; saving money that would otherwise leave the local economy.” Two core objectives of SHS are: to create employment opportunities for those seeking a first formal role in the green economy; and enable the development of a new wave of entrepreneurial businesses, majority-owned by each assessors.
Environment
Sustainable Home Survey works with domestic refurbishment providers, landlords and homeowners to identify and accelerate home improvements. We aim to be a catalyst in upgrading the economic and environmental sustainability of the UK’s housing stock, linking high quality suppliers with engaged householders. We offer a range of impartial home assessments. These are delivered by newly trained energy assessors recruited by SHS from those seeking a first formal role in the green economy. SHS offers a staged development plan with an objective of establishing each assessor in their own "franchised" company.
Over the next few months our direct funding will cease and we will be in a competitive tendering situation. Because of this we want to vastly improve our shop window and have already engaged a team of designers to create a new interactive website.What we really need now is an innovative and contempory brand/logo based on our existing design.
