We believe we can accelerate the rate of social progress. People would give £665million extra to charity if they believed that their donations would make an impact. Charities often do a poor job at making everyday people feel like their donation had any significance. We've found a way to make people's donations feel significant - we simply show people the impact data that our partners would normally keep in stuffy reports and instead gamify it so it appears on each donor's profile as points, badges and stories that correspond to the donations they've made. The £665million per year is the annual income of HALF THE NATION'S CHARITIES. Imagine the difference we could make by unlocking those donations. Some projects are much more effective than others. Without benchmarking however, there's little opportunity for learning and improvement. By building the world's biggest digital repository of impact data, we will enable all the world's charities to understand how their impact compares against that of their peers, and learn what they can do to improve their impact.
