I have more than 20 years experience in sales, marketing and communications (internal and external) and am now changing career into health. On a personal level, I was the media specialist prior to and during much of the 401 Challenge (through this site). Previously, I spent 10 years as a school governor and almost as many visiting residential homes and schools with my Pets as Therapy registered dogs. I've also been involved in fundraising, through previous career/community links and spent several months as a volunteer TA for a bright and lovely 8 year old autistic girl. I am passionate about education and believe that every child should be given the opportunity to reach their potential, regardless of colour, class or gender. I am equally passionate about health (finish my BSc Health, Exercise & Physical Activity 2017). I have limited availability until summer 2017, but generally I would be able to offer planning/strategy practical help for someone else to implement (or to share implementation). Am equally happy to roll up sleeves and stuff envelopes if that's what you need.

I am a flexible, focused and results driven communications professional with both strategic and tactical experience across a broad range of platforms, for internal and external audiences, including PR, marketing, events and sales. An effective leader, spanning a 20 year career, I have managed and developed direct and virtual teams in addition to personally developing and delivering 'best practice' communications resulting in behavioural change. My experience spans global market leaders to SMBs within IT, retail and service industries, where I have regularly demonstrated my ability to translate business goals into communications objectives and deliverables. I am equally confident at all levels within an organisation and demonstrate excellent stakeholder management and executive influencing skills, as well as a creative approach to problem solving. I now teach yoga, am a health and fitness coach and offer sports massage. Currently working with regular and special populations, including children, expectant mothers, and exercise referral.
