Mission
Farmhopping emerged from our passion to help farms working with rare livestock breeds to grow and develop their businesses and our desire to make this sustainable lifestyle affordable to more people around the world.Farm hopping presents a unique way of financially supporting organic farming. The monthly fees paid by users will cover the entire farm’s expenditure for feed and labour. In this way the farm can concentrate on its task to protect endangered livestock species and expand its operations. Moreover farm hopping will stimulate new farms to turn to more sustainable farming practices such as raising endangered livestock species and organic production, which would otherwise be too expensive for the farm to maintain. In addition farm hopping will raise ecological awareness amongst consumers, teach them about farming and sustainable practices. It will allow them to be part of a life style they would otherwise not be able to afford, in terms of both time and capital. On a local level, the communities where the actual farms are situated will benefit from increased demand for workers, while local economies will benefit from farm hopper’s users, which will visit the real farms

Additional Information
Farmhopping is a network of real farms, where users can own and manage a part of a real working farm with the help of an interactive web platform.
Farmhopping allows users to buy animals online from a network of farms around the world. As owners of the animals, the users can decide how to utilise their production and how to manage their flock.
The game-like interface of the website will teach the various aspects of farm management through an interactive and engaging routine, which mirrors real life.
The approach taken by users will depend on their personal strategy and therefore different members will act according to different agendas; changing strategies as they learn along the way.
Farmhopping will reward farmers based on their achievements with different real life privileges, including free stays on the farm where they can consume their own organic produce and learn how to take care of their animals.
