Additional Information

Living Rock serves street-involved and homeless youth between the ages of 13-25. To the everyday observer, many youth would not be recognizable as street-involved or homeless. Youth often try to blend in with the crowds, and take care of their appearances. It is not uncommon to see some youth wearing designer clothes, but in reality they only have one or two outfits, and their financial situation is vulnerable.   There is often a misconception that youth-at-risk are all homeless. In Canada, many youth do their best to stay off of the streets due to the harsh climates; therefore many find themselves street-involved in order to survive. These youth will often couch surf (going from one available couch to another), stay with friends, stay with family (often despite the unsafe environment), or even choose to live in sub-standard apartments.   These street-involved and homeless youth are looking for a place of safety and belonging. The Living Rock offers them a family environment, a safe place to socialize, and an alternative to the streets.   Despite their circumstances, many youth are struggling to stay in school, or find and keep employment. The Living Rock is here to support them, by providing programs and resources that fit their needs.

Trifold for Paballong in Lesotho

Description

We would like to develop a trifold to describe succinctly how and why the Paballong Centre was established, its achievements to date (there are a lot!) and plans for the future. Attractive and sufficiently enticing to attract attention and, ideally, further support. Perhaps optimistically we would like to have this by 8th November. Many thanks!
