The High Five Club seeks to relieve poverty in deprived communities in Africa by providing small grants to community organisations and charities working at the grass roots level on education, health and livelihood initiatives - all aimed at empowering people, and equipping them with the skills and resources, to work themselves out of poverty and become self-sufficient. Our ethos is to provide a hand up, as opposed to a hand out, to pro-active communities who are keen to bring about their own self-development. Many of our initiatives in rural areas are linked to conservation and environmental projects, as poverty and environmental issues in Africa are wholly inter-linked.
