Mission

Cornerstone Place is a certified social enterprise which is focused on supporting homelessness charities in the UK. Our model is that we work with charities to understand the demand for homelessness services locally and then identify land or building suitable for development to meet these requirements. We raise all the money for the purchase and development from social investors and deliver the project. Uniquely, once the work has been completed, we have a mechanism to gift the majority ownership of the property to the charity as well as providing an additional income stream. We are aiming to create 1000 rooms in five years throughout the UK.

Additional Information

We are making good progress with our first projects and are starting to get noticed by other organisations. For example, we are one of 7 companies selected for support by Big Society Capital as part of their Ideas for Impact initiative, and we have been shortlisted for 'Deal of the Year' at the Social Enterprise UK awards which is in December. In addition, work we are doing is starting to get local political interest in Manchester and we want to build this further. One of our issues is that we are so busy with transactional work we are neglecting marketing which will be critical for our future impact. Ideally we need assistance to revamp our website (originally done by me in a rush!), develop our social media presence, assist us with a marketing strategy, and anything else a marketing professional might consider suitable for an organisation like ours! Homelessness social enterprise in need of marketing support and guidance

Description

Hi We are an impact-led social enterprise which is focussed on supporting homelessness charities to improve the property provision for some of the most vulnerable in society. We are a start-up, and my co-founder and I are incredibly busy with day-to-day transaction activities. We are very conscious that we have plenty of good news to share on our progress but need the help and guidance of marketing professionals to help craft the message and its delivery. We know from experience that our model is attractive to charities and Local Authorities and we now need to move all of our collateral on from the start-up phase to something more professional.
