Mission

To promote a voluntary organisation which will seek to empower parent carers and families to support themselves and others within their community and encourage participation in shaping future services for their children.To join up with existing support groups held in 3 key areas of the district to unite fragmented groups around the large geographical area of West Lancs so that every parent carer has access to the same valuable information and support.To signpost to key organisations with the intention of providing a holistic approach to support, advice, and promote empowerment for parent carers by providing access to information including Education, Health, Social Care, emotional wellbeing, practical issues and social and leisure activities.

ONEVOICEwestlancs is a parent-led voluntary organisation which aims to provide a holistic approach to supporting parents/carers of children with a disability, additional needs and those in the assessment process, in the district of West Lancashire.  Working alongside key agencies and organisations to ensure that the same valuable information and support is available to all parent carers in the district, as and when they need it and to provide a regular meeting place so that they can share experiences, information, advice and support and where parents can contribute to shaping future services for their children.  In addition, to encourage and promote a parent-led, sustainable organisation which is not reliant on one person or a small group of parents to operate.
