Mission

To raise funds and awareness of our charity we are staging an annual art event called "Something Special". We have been overwhelmed by support from our nation's leading artists and sculptors, including 12 Royal Academicians. Many have created original artworks and written beautiful stories of the childhood memories and inspiration behind their work. The artwork is valued at £100,000 +We need help to market the event to reach it's full potential and we need help with event management, sponsorship of canapes and champagne.

Additional Information

Joss Searchlight is a young registered children’s brain tumour charity set up after the sad death of my ten year old son Joss in 2011. As a parent receiving the new that your child has cancer is heartbreaking but to be told that there is no hope is beyond devastating. Joss Searchlight is one of the only charities dedicated to supporting the families of over 450 children (aged under 15) diagnosed each year in the U.K with a brain tumour. Brain tumours are such a cruel cancer robbing children of their mobility, vision, voice and even the ability to eat and drink. With only 1 in 3 of these children surviving childhood it is vital that these families are supported and that the remainder of the child’s life is filled with as much joy and special memories as possible. So far we have managed to offer many families emotional and practical support along with arranging special treats, holidays and supplying toy hampers. But we need to be able to do so much more.
