Mission

Solis is a mission led clothing brand with the goal of helping people with depression trust that there is hope for the future; believe that they have the power to change their experience of life; and know that they are not alone. Developed by Justin Proud, and reflecting his own depression journey, Solis t-shirts feature meaningful designs which support our customers as they travel through their journey with depression, with a wearable, comforting reminder that brighter days will come, while providing a sense of belonging. With £5 of every t-shirt sale also going to Samaritans, Solis is an inclusive brand which promotes honesty about the true nature of depression. Justin Proud, Solis founder, has used his struggles with depression as a catalyst for transformation. Realising that his depression was trying to communicate a need for self reflection and change, Justin embarked on a journey of self discovery. In developing and refining ideas which might provide hope and relief to others in a similar position, Solis was born. “I realised that when I searched the web for a brand that represented me, my pain and my need for hope, I couldn’t find anything that met all my needs. That’s why I created Solis - a brand for people with depression, by someone with depression.” — JUSTIN PROUD

PR Guru Wanted for Mental Health Brand!

Description

Hello! We're looking for help from a PR guru to get press/celebrity coverage for Solis - a mission-led clothing brand for people with depression. The aim of the brand is to support our customers as they travel through their journey with depression, with a wearable, comforting reminder that brighter days will come. Our aim is to help people with depression trust that there is hope for the future; believe that they have the power to change their experience of life; and know that they are not alone. For each t-shirt, a £5 donation is made to Samaritans. According to Samaritans this is the amount it costs them to answer a call from someone in crisis, so each purchase could save someone’s life. We believe that there is real need for our offering, especially after such a tumultuous few years, and are keen to raise awareness of the brand so that we can help as many people as possible - be that our customers own struggles with depression, or the users of Samaritans service. We believe press coverage, or celebrity backing, would really help us achieve our dream of raising £100,000 for Samaritans. We look forward to hearing from you with some exciting ideas! Thanks. Justin
