STN was founded in 2011, we are a woman-led charity dedicated to defending women’s rights and implementing feminist principles to all our work to make positive social changes by increasing participation, encouraging resilience, and building trust. Our ethos is to pursue equal rights and social justice and support hard-to-reach disadvantaged Black, Asian, Other Minority Ethnic and Refugees (BAMER) with complex needs predominantly adult and young women from Turkish, Somali, Bangladesh, Asian, Arab, and North African communities to take first steps to overcome barriers, develop a sense of belongings, and fulfill their potential. We offer free various community services and educational training programs such as computer training, functional English as a second language (ESOL), Functional Skills, employability skills, Advice and Guidance (IAG), advocacy, work placement/volunteering opportunities.
