Additional Information
The primary goal of i4118 is to Mentor children to become responsible, contributing members of society. We believe that through long-term character-building mentorship we can nurture a future generation who will be committed to positive family and community values. As our kids grow through our programme, we identify and raise up some of them to become “big brothers and sisters” and our ultimate goal will be for them to become mentors themselves, establishing a culture where we are both mentee and mentor throughout our lives.
Mentorship helps build strong relationships that allow us to speak into the lives of the children and their parents as we get to hear and see more and more of the challenges they face.
Whilst we cannot change the circumstances or environment, they live in we can help them to learn how to make better decisions, to cope with their circumstances, and break the behaviour cycles that bind them as well as help them see that they are not defined by their situation but by the way they perceive themselves.
Our Programme
To achieve our goals, we focus on long-term character-building activity-based mentoring that focuses on relationship building, instilling core values such as courage, love, self-discipline, integrity, and respect, that are applicable in all areas of life.
