When the war in Ukraine started, I put myself forward to support Ukrainian people seeking refuge in the UK Each week I assist around 50 people applying for Home for Ukrainians scheme, accessing welfare, education, and employment in the UK. I am providing the following support: · Applications for National Insurance Number · Universal Credit · Child Benefit · Applications for Personal Independence Payments (PIP) · Work Capability Assessment Questionnaire · Applications for Employment and Support Allowance (ESA) · Applications for social housing · Advice and guidance on bringing pets from Ukraine / Eastern Europe · Guidance through visa application process, including language support · Advice and guidance on importing vehicles · Applications for school/ college · General Employability (CV’s, application forms, interview skills, job search, etc.)
