Established in 1952, The Garwood Foundation (registered charity number 272905) promotes the care, welfare, interests, treatment, and the advancement of education of adults and children who have profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD), particularly those living in the London Boroughs of Croydon, Sutton, and Bromley (we also receive children and young people from all over London and Surrey). We provide a wide range of services (activities, facilities, services, therapies, and other support) for adults and children who have PMLD through our School (Rutherford School), Day Centre (Bramley Hill Centre), Residential Home (Jean Garwood House) and an adapted caravan holiday home.
Disability
The Garwood Foundation is celebrating its 70th anniversary in 2022. We are also fundraising for a capital project, a 19-25 Life Skill Centre with a hydropool, classrooms and a cafe.
