Additional Information

The Vestibular Disorders Association (VEDA) advocates for people with vestibular (inner ear/balance) disorders.  As many as 35% of adults aged 40 years or older in the United States—approximately 69 million Americans—have experienced some form of vestibular dysfunction. The symptoms of chronic dizziness or imbalance can be debilitating. However, because they are invisible to others, many people with vestibular disorders are disregarded by friends, family and coworkers, who often accuse them of "faking it." VEDA provides information to vestibular patients to help them better understand their condition while connecting them to vestibular specialists and support groups. We provide resources to vestibular professionals to connect them with training opportunities and patients who are willing to participate in research studies. Above all, we create a community of support so people who are suffering from chronic dizziness don't feel alone.
