Mission

Afasic is a communication charity. The ability to use language is something that most of us take for granted but more than one million children and young people across the UK are living with speech, language and communication impairments (SLCI).   While most children find learning to communicate comes easily, for others it is a major challenge and living with a speech and language impairment can have a devastating impact on the life of a young child. Though Afasic is a small, specialist charity we have a big responsibility; to ensure that all children and young people living with this hidden disability have access to the right support at the right time.

Drupal Expert for Website Redesign

Description

We are a small supplementary school in the Leeds area who help young people who are having trouble at school or who are disengaged from education. We match them with volunteer tutors for heavily subsidised private tutoring which helps build their confidence. Children are aged from 6-16.  We're desperately in need of a website overhaul. It's pretty dire and needs lots of attention. The content can be provided by myself but it's a DRUPAL site and I just have absolutely no clue how to use it. I don't find it user-friendly and I'm used to wordpress.  I'd love someone who could start work on this in their own time before September, because when we advertise the charity the website just doesn't inspire people to our cause... It's in desperate need of some love!  If you think you could commit some time to this, and be in touch with me in the future if I have any issues, please get in touch! Emma
