Mission MiZA aims to be a trusted, widely-recognised, user-friendly one-stop-shop for zero waste upstream and downstream solutions, resources, and information in Europe at the local level. With this, we seek to bridge the knowledge gap in the transition towards zero waste practices. Vision MiZA wants to accelerate the transition towards zero waste strategies, making them fully effective and widespread; and keep the term ‘zero waste’ applicable to evidence-based and trustworthy solutions, protecting it from misappropriation by greenwashing practices.

MiZA is a spin off from Zero Waste Europe, for which I am the Operations Director. It is a not for profit that does aim to raise revenues to cover it's costs, but it still in early stages (similar to a social enterprise start up, be it in non profit association form) where our funding is limited and we are looking for support to help get to the self sufficient stage.

Marketing Support

Description

For our exciting academy, which aims to accelerate the road to Zero Waste in Europe (and beyond), we are looking for someone who is able and willing to provide some ongoing marketing support (for ideally at least a period of 6 months at a few hours a week to have some consistency). We have a website, Linkedin , facebook and Vimeo (but are open to reconsider the needs), post blogposts, do bimonthly webinars and have occasional campaigns (eg for our Carbon calculator tool) that would need supporting/maintained as basis, but would of course love some more strategic input and support, or additional skills like SEO/Graphic work as well for where the lovely marketing expert that would helps us sees opportunities/needs and can help! (We were fortunate enough to have some grant funding for setup of the basics (website etc) but now we are in the period where the little funding we have is focused on trainings our member organizations and expanding our reach, with no funding given anymore for marketing support)
