Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, Asia-Pacific Office September 2011 – September 2012 Corporate Communications Duties: Writing and managing distribution of press materials including: news releases and backgrounders Writing marketing copy including advertorials Developing special PR campaigns for both brand and products Managing events in India, Korea and Japan Writing speeches for senior management and external parties for events Working closely with the Corporate Communications Manager I have led the conception and execution of a showroom launch in Delhi, drive event in Yokohama and am currently developing long-lead heritage event and promotion plans in North India. Rolls-Royce Motor Cars June 2011 – September 2011 Internal Communications Duties: Writing and managing the production and distribution of key communications across a number of channels including; the weekly team brief, the CEO monthly update and the intranet. Supporting the Communications Manager in planning and executing internal and external events, this has included; assisting in activities at the Goodwood Festival of Speed and playing a role in the ‘Spirit of Ecstasy Centenary’ celebration – the biggest event ever undertaken at the home of Rolls-Royce. Managing the production of ‘The Marque’ the Rolls-Royce employee newspaper. This involved; writing and commissioning articles, arranging photography, interviewing subjects and working with the agency to ensure the final product met the exceptionally high expectations of managers and staff whilst ensuring it adhered to the company’s ‘Corporate Image’ (CI) policy. Managing longer-term projects - during my time I played a key role in planning and executing the launch of the BMW Group, 2012 London Olympics employee engagement programme. Writing ad-hoc articles for external publications, this has included a feature on the ‘100 Motor Cars for 100 Years’ event for inclusion in the 2012 Rolls-Royce Enthusiast Club (RREC) yearbook. Supporting the product PR team in assisting with national and international media visits; this has included arranging flights, logistics and hospitality. Setting up deals with external suppliers for staff and media discounts.
