Experience

In July 2018, I graduated with a First-Class Business and Management Degree, with a Deans List Award demonstrating a high level of academic achievement. After 8 years of education learning about business, I am now the Marketing Manager at the MIS Group. My experience of marketing started during my placement year at the University of Lancashire where I worked in the HR Learning and Development Team. I was responsible for planning and managing events, promoting events to staff and also conducting research for different projects, including introducing corporate values to the organisation. Following this role, I started working at Claro Software, where I was the sole person in the Marketing Department - I helped to build the marketing department from scratch. I worked on various projects including updating content on a new WordPress website, I increased social media presence, and I managed the planning of events in collaboration with various stakeholders. I expanded my knowledge of marketing by attending various courses and putting the knowledge into practice. This experience confirmed that marketing was the career I wanted to pursue. Following this I spent almost 3 years working as a Marketing Executive and Online Content Manager at Lynton Lasers. I have since progressed into a Marketing Manager role at MIS where I manage the marketing for a group of companies that make up the group. I am passionate about working hard to achieve my goals and I am dedicated to making a positive difference by continuously learning and developing my skills which is why I joined as a CIH Associate Member.
