Mission

We are a community group aiming to purchase the derelict former Six Bells Pub. Rather than reinstating the pub as it was, we aspire to use it to drive environmental improvements and social well being in our area. We want to have a carbon neutral business housing a family friendly daytime cafe and evening pub, a shop selling local organic produce and zero waste refil items. Critically we want to provide a visitor information centre as a gateway point to the Gwent Levels. We have support in place from Jayne Bryant, Member of Senedd, the Living Levels Land Partnership, Gwent Wildlife Trust and the RSPB. These organisations would look to provide a information centre and activities in an are that is currently 'neglected' despite being a Site of special Scientific Interest. We are applying for grant funding for this project, but will also be opening a community share offer. For this to be successful we need support to improve our marketing and communications to ensure that people are aware of what we are trying to do and willing to buy in to the project.
