Thames21 is a leading environmental charity (reg 1103997), working across London and the Thames Basin to deliver nature-based, community-focused solutions to the climate and biodiversity crises. We achieve this through river restoration and landscape regeneration projects at scale, whilst also connecting communities with their local blue-green spaces and inspiring long-term stewardship of them. Thames21’s Catchment Based Approach to partnership creates strong working relationships across all sectors – public, private and NGO - to deliver on impacts. Thames21 has a dedicated structure for developing its community engagement work, which informs the various ways in which we listen to, and work with, communities.
One of Thames21's responsibilities is as Lead Organiser of the annual London Rivers Week. This is a week-long celebration of London's rivers and communities, with over 50 free events and 2,000+ participants.
