Mission

Every Casualty Counts works with casualty recording organisations around the world to ensure all victims of armed conflict are accurately identified, documented, and acknowledged. We promote and support the effective recording of casualties. The global death rate from armed conflicts almost doubled from 120,000 in 2021 to 237,000 in 2022. Despite the growing need, there is still a dire lack of support for recording and identifying those who have died. Casualty records are essential for tens of thousands of families to know the fate of their loved ones. Survivors need documentary evidence to seek justice, receive compensation, or claim inheritance rights. Transparent records are vital for countering misinformation and historical revisionism. An accurate understanding of the impact of military operations is crucial for reducing unintended harm to civilians.

If the daily doom scroll of war deaths worldwide is weighing you down, please get in touch. We believe that recognising the children, women and men behind the death statistics as individual human beings with names and life stories, is crucial for reducing global violence. Help us in our mission to identify, record, and memorialise each victim. We are a small organisation with limited funds dealing with a global issue. We have recently applied for Google Ads and we need help setting up effective keyword searches and ensuring it syncs well with our website. We need to drive traffic to our site to build our donor base and support our work globally. We are looking for a passionate, committed professional who is willing to donate a few hours to help us get set up.
