Mission

African Development Choices (ADC) is a UK-based start-up and social enterprise, which focuses on reducing poverty in Africa by increasing access to essential services such as; clean water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH). We achieve our goal by developing resources and strategies which help mobilize local communities and leaders to make more informed choices in the management of public finances. Our ultimate aim is to empower them to meet their needs independently. We believe that aid is not a substitute for a dysfunctional system – it is a tool to help build self-sufficiency. By setting new precedents and helping communities raise their expectations, we increase their participation and lead to a real, lasting, systemic change.
