Additional Information

We are a charity and a social enterprise that is passionate about helping communities.  With over 45 years experience of working in communities, CDF is the leading community development organisation in the UK. We deliver government programmes, manage grant funding and advise public and private sector on their community-based corporate social responsibility approaches. Because we focus on helping communities - the issues are vary varied. The work we do doesn't fit into one fundraising or branding category. We need to raise the profile of 'community issues' in the same way. We are looking for help with our brand positioning, helping to develop our narrative to major donors, trusts and foundations.

Description

We need help to gain national media coverage for our charity Suicide Crisis. We have been attracting some interest / attention from national media but have been unable to translate that into articles in national newspapers / radio or TV coverage.Their interest is awakened by our zero suicide record, the story behind the charity and our unique and innovative services. We have been providing services for two and a half years and have never had a suicide of a client under our care. The charity and our Suicide Crisis Centre were set up by a person who experienced suicidal crisis, following a traumatic incident in March 2012. She attempted suicide twice in November 2012. In December 2012 Suicide Crisis was incorporated as a company and a charity. Ten months later our Suicide Crisis Centre opened its doors to its first clients. There was scepticism that such a person could even get this off the ground, but it has been a massive success. The founder was subsequently diagnosed with PTSD and bipolar disorder. She runs the Suicide Crisis Centre.
