Personal Introduction

I've been a B2B marketer for 20 years in the utilities sector - primarily telecoms but also a stint undertaken in energy. I also  had my own strategic marketing consultancy business for a couple of years helping clients identify new market opportunities and better leverage their existing ones as well as making the coffee and buying the toilet rolls!  - but I sold this and went back to the normality of PAYE to have my two children and a work life balance :) My skills include marketing communications - full end to end campaigns across all aspects of the marketing mix, customer communications strategy and tactics, product development and management from concept, through full lifecycle and product withdrawl. I've also experience of  account based marketing and industry vertical marketing which has included running events such as dinner debates, hospitality, exhibitions, analyst briefings and DM, EM, TM. I also enjoy being a parish councilor, a school governor and a business and marketing mentor for The Prince's Trust. I have been CRB checked for my school governor role and have recently undertaken designated lead child protection training. I am the Chair of the Safeguarding Committee and the link governor for SEN and Child Protection.  I'm happy to help any causes, particularly any that involve helping children, society or local community.
