Branding support needed for Somerset charity following a merger

Description

We are a charity based in South Somerset that provides practical support and guidance to voluntary and community groups, helping them to develop and grow. Each year, we support hundreds of groups to start-up, develop and achieve sustainability through our programme of free advice, support and training. We also run the Volunteering Service for South Somerset, matching volunteers to causes that matter to them.Groups and charities that we work with often tell us that they would struggle to survive if it were not for our organisation. And as the number of voluntary and community groups continues to grow in the current economic climate, we believe that there is greater need for our organisation than ever before. We recently merged with another charity and now work across a large area of the county, including South Somerset, Mendip and Sedgemoor. Its really exciting times for us and a great time to reposition our organisation. I'm fairly new to the organisation and am really keen to really raise our profile - so this will just be the start!

Viral marketing campaign to promote volunteering

Description

We're a charity based in Somerset that provides support and training to the voluntary sector across the area. We're a really small organisation and have changed enormously in the last year - we've just rebranded and are in the process of repositioning our organisation and bringing it a bit more up to date. Our new name is Spark (we were formerly South Somerset Association for Voluntary and Community Action) and one of our key services is to provide a volunteering service - we find volunteers for local charities and also match individuals to causes that matter to them.In the New Year, we want to run a high-profile campaign in our local communities ina bid to promote the value of volunteering and hopefully encourage more people to get involved. We'll obviously make use of all the traditional channels, but we would also like to consider some kind of viral marketing campaign to really get the message out there. We're looking to do something light-hearted and possibly quirky that will not only promote volunteering, but also help get our organisation on the map. Please let in touch if you think you can help!
