Additional Information

Our vision is a society where disabled people are valued as parents and can access the support they need to carry out their parenting role. We provide information and advice to disabled people about pregnancy and parenthood. Much of this focuses on practical things, like how to change a nappy with one hand, carrying a baby on a wheelchair, keeping track of a toddler as a blind person, accessible information for visually impaired and Deaf people. We provide a platform for disabled parents to share their experience and expertise and for their professional allies to share good practice. We do this through: our helpline (phone and email) - we answer enquiries from parents, professionals, students, the media our website - we publish articles about disabled parenting, including parents' experience, good practice, reviews of equipment and other resoures, and research. our publications - we produce a wide range of unique specialist guides on disabled parenting, available in a accessible formats. our resource centre - we have a collection of accessible baby care equipment available for parents and professionals to view and try out
