Mission
Our theatre company, a collective of young theatre artists who first converged at Lester B. Pearson UWC of the Pacific in Victoria, Canada, posits its mission as one to create "new theatre, to benefit and challenge."
Therein, we hope to challenge with new theatre and drama that questions philosophically and ethically, while dually remaining true to our roots as a highly diverse and international body of workers and artists.

Additional Information
The Max Bell Theatre Company is preparing to mount a new play, entitled The Gypsybird SpeaksĀ at the 2013 Edinburgh Festival Fringe. Within the play's narrative, "Dark times have befallen the forest clearing where a journalist, a director, a painter, and a witch lament the lost Philena. Devoured by the gypsy moths, the forest crumbles slowly as the mysterious prophet Asphodel draws near. Entwined in the forest mythology the characters delve deep into one another's psyche, a magnetism they are powerless to avoid. Fresh new writing in the spirit of the Brothers Grimm, for grown-ups."
