Mission

Create Ability has a vision of a world where people who are vulnerable due to disabilities, mental distress and age have opportunities to engage with inspiring arts and crafts activities. We believe this leads to an enrichment of their lives, through self-expression, personal development, social interactions and a sense of enjoyment. Creating artworks, displayed at home or exhibited in the wider community, helps our clients to be seen for the unqique individuals that they are.

Create Ability provides arts and crafts activities for vulnerable adults, particularly in care settings. We provide arts and crafts sessions for groups, in which people are encouraged to develop their talents, personal ideas and creative abilities in a supportive and fun atmosphere. During 2013 Create Ability has provided a print making course for people with learning disabilities, textile workshops and regular sessions with people suffering from dementia at a local authurity care home.

Ward Volunteer Marketing

Description

This is non profit with little/no budget looking to attract ward volunteer in the G12 area of Glasgow to help improve the patient experience during their stay in hospital by providing friendship and stimulation for patients who may not receive any visitors.This is a challenging role and need to attract the right people.... Volunteers should have excellent communication skills, patience and empathy, an ability to respect the importance of confidentially, able to interact independently and have a caring manner. Above all - volunteers must be reliable.Did try to make a poster - however its not as eye catching as i wanted!I need the poster to attract the student type - looking to get into healthcare and the middle age retired type wanting to give something back.Would appreciate some help.  Voluntary is tough to crack with fierce competition.
