Additional Information

Poverty, abuse, exploitation and suffering in the developing world may touch us briefly and we may donate to momentarily topical, emotive causes; but we mostly fail to tackle the deeper, root causes. The absence of justice and equality before the law is generally the root cause, because the justice sectors of most developing countries are riddled with corruption and violence. OpenTrial works to use modern technology to enhance transparency to act as a check on this. The internet offers an opportunity to do this like never before, but we need help in getting the message across and raising funds.
