Can you help us to create a new logo and 'corporate' image for our amazing children's charity

Description

Destination Florida has been around for nearly 30 years doing amazing work with children who have life limiting and life threatening medical conditions.  To enable the charity to develop its fundraising and grow awareness of its work across the north of the UK we need help to transform our brand identity, logo and marketing materials. The Destination Florida logo and our marketing materials are old fashioned and outdated in terms of the design, images and fonts used.  It doesn’t accurately reflect the work of the charity or that it is a charitable rather than a commercial organisation. The corporate image looks as though Destination Florida is a holiday company.  Additionally, the use of dolphins implies this is something the charity does.  It doesn’t – the children do not swim with dolphins during the Florida trips.  Instead, a mobile hospital of doctors, nurses, physiotherapists and adult helpers provides one to one support to children during an eight-day trip to Florida.Destination Florida does provide the children with the holiday of a lifetime, but it does much more than that.  The use of phrases such as ‘holidays of lifetime for deserving children’ are off putting for some corporate, charitable trust and individual donors, who are unwilling/unable to make donations to provide overseas holidays.  The charity needs to highlight various elements of its work, including:·       the high-quality provision of medical and pastoral care·       providing a mobile hospital·       allowing parents or guardians time to have a respite·       a space for children to thrive in an environment where they are supported and cared for by children with similar medical conditions, medical staff and adult helpers·       building the children’s self-confidence and making new friendshipsAn outline brief for this project has been created for those interested in taking on this project, and it can be emailed to those express an initial interest.Paul Bailey, Operations Director, would be delighted to speak with you over the phone on 0161 789 7788 for a discussion about our project.

Help needed to create a short film for Destination Florida

Description

During October, Destination Florida went to Florida with 72 children with life limiting and life threatening medical conditions, plus over 110 volunteers including doctors, nurses, physiotherapists and carers.  A volunteer came with us to take hundreds of photographs of the wonderful experiences the children had whilst away from their parents and homes in the UK.For the first time the charity is planning its first ever reunion of all of the people who went on our 2016 trip.  Destination Florida would like to host a world premiere of film/animated PowerPoint show of the highlights of our latest trip.  This would use photographs and quotes from some of the people who went on the trip and examples of some of our social media posts whilst in Florida.  It will created and set to music in an entertaining and moving style. Most importantly, this event will allow the children and their parents and guardians to see the visual highlights and achievements during the 2016 trip.  The families will be presented with a special DVD containing the film/PowerPoint to watch again when they get home.  The DVD will also be presented to our volunteers and corporate/individual supporters, who will also be invited.A local cinema has agreed to host this event for a nominal fee and create a red carpet atmosphere for us.Additionally, it would also be wonderful if we could create a short charity advert to be show to our guests at this event to highlight the various ways in which they could fundraise or support Destination Florida as we build towards our 2018 trip with another 75 children. For further details and an initial conversation, please contact Paul Bailey, Operations Director, on 0161 789 7788.
