Mission

BAAG aim to launch a year long 2014 campaign of exciting public events and activities which highlight the importance of continuing international aid and support to Afghanistan. 2014 will be a critical year in the future of Afghanistan, as it undertakes enormous transitions in its security management and political structure.  Foreign troops will complete their handover of combat operations to Afghan security forces by the end of 2014, and the country has started nominations for Presidential and provincial elections on April 5th 2014.  A lot of uncertainty remains regarding the future of Afghanistan's stabilty and development.  Great progress has been made in Afghanistan since 2001 - but very little of this is communicated to the British public or to decision makers.  BAAG aim to provide a more balanced and accurate picture of Afghanistan, to demonstrate that aid has already improved the lives of Afghans and with ongoing support this resilient and capable nation could be self-sufficient again.  The progress made should be protected and nurtured, to prevent the relapse into insecurity and poor human rights which too many media outlets are indicating is inevitable.  We're REALLY excited about this campaign, and have some ambitious ideas about innovative, fun and far-reaching events to engage the general public.  But we need help in branding and managing this campaign.  We usually work with NGOs, academics and donors - we're not experienced in reaching out to the general public.

Additional Information

BAAG - British & Irish Agencies Afghanistan Group - is an advocacy network of 30 British and Irish agencies operating in Afghanistan.  Founded in 1987, we have become a leading source of expertise on Afghanistan, providing access to our members to key decision makers within the UK government and donors.  We provide a collective voice on key advocacy and policy matters - such as women's rights and the inclusion of civil society.  We conduct and commission research on issues affecting development and humanitarian activities in Afghanistan, and convene conferences, workshops and round-tables with some of the leading think-tanks and academic institutions in the UK.   BAAG's mission is to work together with member agencies and others to raise awareness of the needs and aspirations of Afghans, particularly the poorest and most vulnerable.  It aims to promote policies to counter poverty and encourage good practice and policy in development and humanitarian work.

Logo needed for new Sports organisation

Description

Footballing Futures is a brand new company which has been dreamt up by two people passionate about young people and a love for the game of football. In our years working with young people and in football we have seen far too often so many talented young players who have not had the opportunity to realise their potential and be seen by clubs and their talents have gone to waste.  As as a new organisation we are starting completely from scratch and would like some assistance with coming up with a logo and some branding ideas.
